Mom Outraged by Naughty Word in Countdown
A womanhood in the U.K. was none too pleased when the pun of Countdown she was playing with her trio-year-old Son threw an anagrammatise at them that unscrambled into "sh*theads."
Countdown is a long-running game register in the U.K. in which players attempt to make over words impossible of randomly chosen letters, solve mathematics puzzles and, in the final round, unscramble a nine-letter anagrammatise. In 2009, Mindscape and Koch Media released a home version of the game for the Nintendo Wii, which is what Victoria Captain John Smith and her young son Oliver were playacting when it asked them to unscramble the letters "SHAHSITED."
The solution was revealed to be "shitheads," an entertaining answer if you pass off to be playing a Countdown drunkenness game with your buddies but non indeed much when you're partnered with your preschooler child. "I couldn't believe my eyes as the word was slowly undraped as an obscene affront," Smith said. "Oliver is a really glinting kid and we play this game to help him build up his word bank."
"Atomic number 2 was already asking what the word meant," she added. "My married man Daniel had to usher him out of the room."
I was a little curious, thus I plugged the letters into few anagram solvers on the internet and surely enough, the sole root is "shitheads." And although the whole narration may sound a wee bit dubious, this wouldn't be Countdown's first brush with blue word scrambles. On much one episode the Holy Scripture "wankers" was declared and last year players were asked to create a word victimization the letters "AUODFCKEG." Fortunately, neither of the contestants went for IT.
Koch Media, Nintendo and Channel 4, which broadcasts the first Countdown game show, all declined to commentary happening the plac.
